Burnett State College offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities, which we encourage students to participate in.
Such activities may include Student Council, Somerset Literature Festival, Instrumental Music, Sporting teams, Hoof and Hook, after school tutoring, Dance, Duke of Edinburgh, Sewing Club, Science Club, ATAP as well as C-Gen (Creative Generation).
Leadership
Every year students are inducted into our leadership program via our Investiture Ceremony. Burnett State College has both senior and junior school captains, house captains and vice captains as well as committee chair persons and vice committee chair persons. Currently, our committees are Graduation, Sports, Academic, Publicity, Resource and Activities.

Sport
Regular physical education is an integral part of the curriculum at Burnett State College. Students participate in swimming carnivals, the cross country running event and athletics carnivals across the calendar year.

Formal
Burnett State College students attending the Formal Ceremony are eligible to have two immediate family members invited by the college.
The following information applies to any person who is not a current enrolled student at Burnett State College who wishes to attend the Burnett State College Formal Ceremony as a partner of a student enrolled at Burnett State College.
Anyone who wishes to be invited who is not a current student of the college will need to supply the completed application paperwork by 3:00 p.m. on Friday 11th September to be considered for invitation. The final decision on any person being invited to the Burnett State College Senior Formal Ceremony rests with the Principal.
